In 2016 we looked extensively for a new home in Abbotsford that would suit our needs. We were delighted to find a suitable home built by Ridgepoint Homes in the Straiton area. When we first viewed the home we were impressed not only by the innovative yet practical floor plan but also by the quality of the construction. We have lived in our new home for over a year and continue to be very pleased with it. When minor problems arose with the house, Ken Friesen and his crew responded very politely and quickly with repairs. We purchased our new home from Ken & Ridgepoint Homes in Feb. 2016. We were attracted to the home when we first walked through it, thinking the design and craftsmanship were excellent. There is much more to purchasing a new home than first impressions. Prior to moving in, I had the home professionally inspected, the inspector said himself, "It would be a home I would purchase." Communication with Ken regarding any issues (nail pops in drywall, missed spots for painting), were always completed quickly to our satisfaction. 18 months later the quality still remains excellent, as it was when we moved in. When we were looking for a new home we came upon our house in the framing stage. We had a number of questions regarding the design and construction of the home and Ken answered all of our questions in an open and honest manner.

We have been in our new Ridgepoint home for over a year now and we couldn’t be happier. The design, layout and build quality of the home is excellent. We think that we have the nicest and most attractive home in the development. The quality of materials used throughout is of very high quality, designed to last many years. The house is well insulated, as we found out during this past winter and through the hot days of summer, which makes it easy to keep the interior at a uniform temperature.

We’ve been in our Ridgepoint home now for almost a month and we are very happy with it. Our long home search in Abbotsford certainly paid off when we found this one.

The combination of wood, vinyl, and stone on the outside gives it considerable curb appeal. The materials and styling also project an image of strength and sturdiness. This is evident on the inside as well. The quality of the materials is top notch.

Everything in this house– the floors, the closets, the door knobs, the cupboards, the faucets– feels like it was built to last generations, a refreshing sign in this age of mass-produced housing. It was evident that we were dealing with a custom builder. Obviously, location and build quality were important to us. During the building process, Ken and his team were extremely accommodating in showing us around and explaining the various features of the home. Soft touch cabinets, tamper-resistant receptacles, ethernet ports, and pre-wiring for patio speakers and security are just a few. But we also wanted a home that would still look new for years to come. The choice of materials and finishes in the home will accomplish this by delicately balancing modern styling and classic looks in a way that will stand the test of time.

We’re certainly happy with our Ridgepoint home. The styling, build quality, and layout were precisely what we were looking for. I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t looking forward to entertaining others at our first house-warming party.
